Now that you've completed the Basic Setup, you're ready to upload videos. Video Feeds can be used to upload or important any content, and is a core component of the Contributor Network where contributors can easily share videos with you. The items below explain how to create a video feed:

1.  Create a Video Feed - Name your feed and select a source

2. Configure the Video Feed source

  • YouTube - Upload an entire channel
  • Upload - Files from your computer as long as the formats are Supported.
  • Vimeo - From a Vimeo Pro account
  • Library - Existing video from your TVPage account

Each Video Feed type has different options and import procedures. For this reason, each type is explained in a section below.

Create a Video Feed

1. Go to the FEEDS section and click ADD FEED. Type a name and select a feed type.

Refresh Feed

If you create a YouTube and Vimeo video feed, you should refresh the feed once in a while to make sure you have the latest videos. You can see the update status in the Job Manager.

Subscribers

If you remember the Building Contributor Network article, you can share feeds with others by accepting them as a subscriber. In order for this to work, you must send or receive an invitation to share a video feed.

Feed Navigation

Once you have a large number of feeds, use the search bar to find feeds instantly. 


You can also:

  • Select the number of feeds displayed per page
  • Use page navigation buttons
  • Enter the page number

YouTube Video Feed

1. Click the drop-down arrow of the feed and select Configure Feed.

2. Click Select YouTube Channel. 

You can also use these options:

Feed Title - Rename the feed
Keywords - Enter keywords to filter YouTube content.
Video Length - Choose the video length

3. Enter the YouTube channel name or URL and click Done.

4. If desired, click Preview to view the videos i the YouTube channel. Otherwise, press Save. It may take some time for TVPage to ingest all of the videos in some feeds. You will receive an email when it is complete. This example took less than 5 minutes.

Furthermore, all videos in your YouTube channel's playlists are also added to the feed. If you have a video in more than one playlist, it will add the video without duplicating it.

Upload Video Feed

1. If you create an upload feed, choose a name carefully because it cannot be renamed. Click the drop-down arrow of the feed and select Upload.

2. Browse or drag the file(s) you wish to upload, then click Upload. A progress bar will show you when the upload is complete.

It may take some time for TVPage to ingest the videos. They may be temporarily classified as Processing in the Videos section.

Multiple Files

If you're uploading multiple files. Use your mouse to highlight the files or use the SHIFT key

Embed Code

If you would like to access the embed code of the upload feed, Click the drop-down arrow of the feed and select Embed Code.

The Embed Code window opens where you can Generate the API Key.

Vimeo Video Feed

1. Click the drop-down arrow of the feed and select Configure Feed.

2. Click Authorize. You can rename the feed if you want.

3. Log in to your Vimeo PRO account to upload the Vimeo feed.

Library Video Feed

1. Click the drop-down arrow of the feed and select Add from Library.

2. The video library search window opens. Type the name of the video you wish to add. Click on the green [ + ] button to add a video.
